根据中国足协统计，国足历史上16次与新加坡队交锋取得11胜3平2负的战绩，打进32球丢掉8球。

两次输给新加坡的比赛分别是1980年3月8日的奥运会预选赛亚洲区赛事以及1983年12月14日的鱼尾狮杯邀请赛，中国队这两场比赛均在客场以0-1的比分失利，遭遇对新加坡的两连败。
